Taunting the Ulama

Q: Taunting the ulma is right or wrong?

A: Taunting and ridiculing any believer is a serious sin in Islam. More so, taunting the Ulama who are the flag bearers of Deen is a greater offence and a grave sin in the sight of Allah Ta'ala. In his Mubaarak Ahaadith Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has commanded his ummah to reverie and honour the Ulama' of Deen. It is recorded in the Hadith-e-Qudsi that Allah Ta'ala says: "The one who hurts my friend, I wage war with him." It is generally witnessed that those who oppress the friends of Allah Ta'ala face disgrace in this world and the next. Imagine the one who Allah Ta'ala wages war against, who can save him from the punishment of Allah Ta'ala!

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
