Q: Kindly assist me with the percentage distribution for the following estate:

Case 1 . Husband – Passed away

Wife

Daughter

Daughter

Husband has one surviving sister

Case 2 . Wife – Passed away

Husband

Daughter

Daughter

One surviving brother

A:

1. The estate will be divided into 24 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Wife will receive 3 shares

Each daughter will receive 8 shares

Sister will receive 5 shares

2. The estate will be divided into 12 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Husband will receive 3 shares

Each daughter will receive 4 shares

Brother will receive 1 share

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
