Working in Johannesburg & Residing in Durban during the weekend
Q: I'll go through an example: Anas is 23 years old, not married yet. He lives with his parents in Durban. He is hired by a company in Johannesburg. So from Monday to Friday he is in Jo'burg for his job. From Friday night to Sunday he goes back to Durban. So my question is: Where is Anas musafir, in Durban or Jo'burg?
A: If he does not have any permanent home in Johannesburg then he will be a musafir in Johannesburg.
Q: Thank you for your response. Concerning the second question: he has his own home in Johannesburg, though every weekend he goes to his parents' home in Durban.
Does it mean that he isn't musafir when he is in Durban, nor in Johannesburg?
A: If he regards the home in Johannesburg as his permanent residence as well, then he will be a muqeem in both Durban and Johannesburg.

(الوطن الأصلي ) هو موطن ولادته أو تأهله أو توطنه (يبطل بمثله) إذا لم يبق له بالأول أهل فلو بقي لم يبطل بل يتم فيهما
قال الشامي في رد المحتار : (أو توطنه) أي عزم على القرار فيه وعدم الارتحال وإن لم يتأهل (رد المحتار2/ 131)
