Does the husband have to practise equality in sexual relations between his wives?

Q: Is there equality in sexual relations i.e. the number of times the husband had relations with one wife, is it compulsory upon him to have relations with the other wife the same number of times?
A: It is compulsory upon the husband to fulfil each wife’s rights (be it sexual rights or other rights of nikah), however equality in sexual relations (i.e. the number of times) is not compulsory.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
( يجب ) وظاهر الآية أنه فرض نهر ( أن يعدل ) أي أن لا يجوز ( فيه ) أي في القسم بالتسوية في البيتوتة ( وفي الملبوس والمأكول ) والصحبة ( لا في المجامعة ) كالمحبة بل يستحب. (الدر المختار 3/201)
