Reason for women not fasting and performing salaah while in haidh

Q: A few questions from a woman:

1. Why are menstruating women not expected to pray? Fast? Touch Quran?

2. Why do we pay back fasts but not salaah?

3. Why do women pray at the back or behind the men in mosques but not so in the harams? More for overseas people cos we go to the masjids here.

A:

1-2. This is the command of Shariah

3. Women should not attend the congregational salaah in the musjid. Women should perform their salaah within the confines of their homes.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
