Performing salaah with a skirt

Q: If the dress or skirt of a Hanafi woman is above her ankles (i.e. the ankles and part of her shin are exposed), will her salaah be valid if she prays salaah after putting on socks to cover the exposed area?

A: It is not permissible for a woman to perform salaah in this type of attire. The attire she wears should be a long, loose fitting dress that covers her entire body in such a manner that even the shape of her limbs should not be visible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
