Lifting the tablecloth and disposing of bread crumbs

Q: Please clarify regarding the picking up of the tablecloth once everyone has eaten.

1. Does it have to be lifted immediately?

2. Is it true that barakah is decreased if bread crumbs are left on the cloth and it isn't dusted?

A:

1. When this is the etiquette then do it at the right moment i.e. when people have eaten.

2. The right thing for bread crumbs is to eat them up, not to throw them away. Alternately, you may leave it in an appropriate place so that birds or insects may enjoy it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
