Woman conducting online programs for other women

Q: I would like to find out the permissiblity of conducting programs online via zoom or other such medium for woman. A reputable muallimah will recite zikr, Quraan, give some naseeha, etc. These classes are only for women to participate and rules state that no men should be able to hear the female speaker. Links for online classes are sent out just before the programs so that no one besides those registered will be able to listen in.

Is it permissible to conduct such programs?

Will it be permissible for me (a female) to listen and thereby encourage to such programs?

A: The Qur’aan Majeed and Mubaarak Ahaadith encourage women to remain at home, secluded from all non mahrams and they are commanded not to leave their homes without a valid need. In this lies safety for their deen as well as their self respect. The reason for the Qur’aan Majeed and Mubaarak Ahaadith discouraging women from leaving their homes without a valid need is that they do not come into contact with strange men, thereby becoming the means of fitnah taking place. Nowadays, with the abundant fitnah found everywhere, there is the possibility that the women's voices could be leaked out and heard by men. Hence, we discourage conducting a program of this nature.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
