Housewife comparing herself to other women
Q: My wife always compares herself to other women and it makes her stressed out and unsatisfied with her life as she is a housewife and spends most of the time at home doing different stuff like cooking, looking after our kid, helping my mother and so on. How can I help her to stop comparing herself to others?
A: She must be really grateful that Allah Ta`ala has favoured her to do that which is best, looking after the house and her children, and keeping her husband happy, doing the fardh and her obligations. This is the sign of a jannati woman. Women who do not maintain this standard have drifted away from the right course. It is insensible to ever compare such a virtuous woman with people who have lost the correct understanding and reasoning. She should make taubah and be extremely grateful to Allah Ta`ala.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
