Discharge of Mazi during Salaah

Q: I make imaamat for Esha Salaah. While performing the Salaah I had a feeling that mazi came out but I thought it was just a waswasa. When I reached home I saw it was mazi. What must I do? I can't make and announcement tomorrow because people will think bad about me.

A: Through mazi coming out the wudhu will break and without wudhu there is no Salaah. Hence, you should repeat your Salaah and inform the congregation that they will have to repeat their Salaah. It is recorded in the Hadith that the Imaam is responsible for the Salaah of the congregation thus, if you do not inform them you will be responsible in the court of Allah Ta'aala. An easy way perhaps will be by putting up a notice on the Masjid board, you do not have to explain to anyone the reason for which the Salaah has to be repeated.
