Gifts from someone whose wealth is contaminated

Q: My neighbours have a hair salon. At the hair salon they cut two lengths hairstyles and shave beards also. At times they send us food and gifts.Is it permissible to accept the gifts and partake from the food?

A: If the main source of their income is permissible then you may accept the gifts.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

أهدى إلى رجل شيئا أو أضافه إن كان غالب ماله من الحلال فلا بأس إلا أن يعلم بأنه حرام فإن كان الغالب هو الحرام ينبغي أن لا يقبل الهدية ولا يأكل الطعام إلا أن يخبره بأنه حلال ورثته أو استقرضته من رجل كذا في الينابيع (الفتاوى الهندية 5/ 342)
