Collecting money for Deeni Organisations and Institutes from people or companies that are dealing in Interest

Q: Is it permissible to collect money for deeni organisations and institutes, etc. from people or companies that are dealing (giving and earning) in interest. If it is permissible, then what are the boundaries and limits when collecting from such people?

A: The wealth collected from a person who the major portion of his income is halaal will be regarded as halaal. However, the one who is involved in interest or any other acts that are contrary to the Shariah in his business should be advised regarding earning halaal. If the person is not willing to refrain from the Haraam it is important that those collecting for deeni organisations and institutes avoid collecting from such a person.
