Reimbursing the person one had stolen from

Q: Please I would like to know how to reimburse money that I have stolen from somebody and how about money that I have borrowed and the person cannot be found anymore?

A: Under any pretext return that money to that person even though it may be under the pretext of a gift.

Exhaust your efforts in locating that person, and if it is not possible then look for his children and dependants, and if this is also not possible then give that amount in charity on his behalf.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: Last week I asked a question regarding paying some money to the people whom I owe. Now on the same topic if I can't find that person or any of his
relatives, than how do I pay that money? Also I know that interest money is haram but I have some interest money with me and I am not dealing with
interest anymore. My question here is can I use that interest money to pay those brothers and sisters whom I owe?

A:

1. Give it in sadaqah on behalf of the person you borrowed the money from.

2. This is not permissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: Now my question is that this money that has to be given as a sadqa on behalf of that particular person, that person is a non muslim. Can we still give the money as sadaqa on his behalf? If no than what can be done?

A: Just give the money to a poor person in charity but do not make the intention of the reward being conveyed to the non-Muslim.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
