Repenting from sins

Q: I am 19 years old. I always try my best to avoid sins and Almighty Allah saved me every time from sins especially from zina. There's a married girl in our flat who asked me many time for zina but Alhamdulillah each and every time I refused. One day, I don't know what happened to me, I just walked to her door, entered the house. Here, we hugged and kissed each other and did nothing else. We didn't take off our clothes. While kissing, suddenly I realized that we are doing wrong. I just pulled her away and walked back to my house. Now, I'm feeling extremely shameful of my actions. I want to commit suicide but I can't do this. I want to make Tawbah. I want to become virtuous again. How can I make tawbah and become virtuous?

Tahajjud Salaah

Q: Can you please advise the correct way to perform Tahajjud salah (night prayer)? Is it permissible to pray it after the Isha prayer? Is it permissible to wake up at a certain time where I can pray my Tahajud and an hour later I can pray Fajar? Please advise the best way to focus in namaz, due to some of the stressful conditions I am going through, those thoughts come and go in my mind during Salah. How can I stop that or focus more on salaah?

Refraining from anything that is illicit and shameful

Q: My question is with regards to the high divorce rate. We see one of the biggest causes being lack of excitement or the inability to satisfy one's partner in bed. So to save the marriage can couples use sex toys during intercourse or practise bondage or learn different sex positions through books (containing sexual content) for education purposes?

Joining a person performing Salaah alone

Q: If a person is busy reading Salaah alone, then another person comes and joins him to make jamaat. Is this action ok? What should the first person do in this case?

Pulling the alif in Azaan

Q: How many alif should a person pull in the word of Allah in Allahu Akbar in azaan?

Cleaning the laundry bag

Q: There is a laundry bag in which we keep our dirty clothing. Sometimes the clothes are soiled with urine drops or semen and we keep it in there for washing. I want to clean the bag but it cannot be washed as it doesn't fit in the machine due to the wires. How can I make it paak? Putting it under running water will make the bathroom wet. Can I wipe it with a wet cloth. Will it be clean enough. It's made out of polyester so I don't know if wetness is transferred.

Washing off impurity

Q: If there is impurity on a table or chair, how many times do I have to wipe it? Is it necessary to wipe it three times or if no traces of impurity is seen. If traces of something invisible like urine etc are there does wiping once or twice suffice. Also if I wash blood stained or impurity stained clothes in washing machine once will they be pure? Do I have to run rinse 3 times as I feel I am wasting water.

Premarital relationship

Q: My engagement has been with my cousin. He used to love me but due to some misunderstanding he doesn't talk or want to be in this relation but our family doesn't want to break up. Please help me what can I do to melt his heart?

Marital problems

Q: My husband and I have been having endless problems for the past year now. I have left our home a few times due to his behaviour towards me . I am back at our home for 3 months now and for the last two months we have been having problems. He has hit me and also been chatting to other girls on social networks. He has a temper and his mood just switches and therefore he mistreats me. He also doesn't want me to visit my parents or socialize with my family. It has gone so bad now that I cannot talk to my husband or ask him for anything or rely on him for anything. I feel like I am living with a stranger. What can I do? I don't want to be with him anymore because of the way he is treating me but he does not want to give me talaaq. Please advise.

Zakaat on investments and loans

Q:

1. I invested some money in a company. Unfortunately, the company was a fraud. Government possessed all investments and it is still under investigation. Money is not in my possession any longer. Do I have to pay Zakaat on this?

2. I've loaned out money to a few people. No one has paid me back as yet. Do I have to pay Zakaat on this?

3. Do I have to calculate exactly 2.5% Zakaat or can I give more than this as Zakaat?
