Leather socks

Q: I know masah can be permitted on socks made of leather. Suede is also Leather. I would assume it is permissible to be used for masah however there is one thing that I need clarification on before I start using it for masah purposes. The issue is that suede is not entirely waterproof. Water will eventually seep through if it becomes wet for more than 15 minutes. But I don't know if that matters as it is 100% leather. My question is can fully suede socks be used for masah purposes?

Q: I used a leather Moza and it needed to be rinsed due to getting wet with dirty water. After rinsing it I removed it and found it to be damp on the inner side near the seems. I've read that Moza need to be water proof but I see the stitches don't allow that.

  1. Can this Moza still be used as all leather moza have stitches?
  2. Do I have to repeat all the Salaah that were performed after making masa in the Moza?
  3. If Salaah needs to be repeated, what must I do about those who read Salaah behind me as I don't know who some of them were?

Q: Can we wear cotton socks inside the leather socks, and will it affect the wudhu when making masah on the leather socks?

Sealskinz socks

Q: Are sealskinz socks permissible to wear and be applied the same ruling as leather socks. i.e. is one able to do masaah over these? Do they meet the criteria of not being tied to oneself by any elastic used to manufacture these?

Inner lining of the khuff

Q: If the khuff has a cotton inner lining sewn in itself, is its lining is considered to be the khuff ? i.e. if on the leather in that case are 4 holes i.e tears, but the cotton innerlining at these tears is intact than these tears on the leather are of no consideration and they don't count as holes. Is this correct? I remember reading this in Halabi as Saghir it was attributes to Imam Muhammad.
