Q: My husband and I are trying to fall pregnant. Can we use an anonymous egg donor?

A: This is haraam in Islam. It resembles the outcome of zina, as a male's semen is entering the body of a woman who is not his wife. This has been severely condemned and prohibited in the Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam).
Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "It is not permissible for the one who believes in Allah and the Day of Qiyaamah to water the plantation of another person with his water (i.e. it is not permissible for him to insert his semen into the body of another person's wife or in the body of any woman who is not halaal for him)."
After salaah, recite the following dua and beg Allah Ta'ala to bless you and your husband with pious and healthy offspring.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
