Q: When Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) came to Madina, the people used to pay in advance the price of dates to be delivered within two or three years. He said (to them), ‘Whoever pays in advance the price of a thing to be delivered later should pay it for a specified measure at specified weight for a specified period’”(Bukhari no: 2239).
I read this quotation in a book. Can I know how it is done according to mazhab of Shaafee?
Q: I want to start a business and I have an idea. The problem is that the idea is so easy, if I go with this idea to a traditional investor or Venture Capital firm they will copy the idea or start it on their own.
I don't have any capital to start the business so I can start the business with help crowdfunding. Will the business income be halaal?
My intention is clear that when I start making profit, I will start returning the money to the people or via the same way I got it, or I will donate the same amount of money to others.
Another thing is, can I use some money to buy a house with the capital raised because we are living in a rented house for a very long time and i want to buy a house.
Until I don't return the full capital money as I said above, is it permissible to donate some part of the income to other people in need?
Q: I'm a Muslim and I work in a truck company. I'm responsible for all the mechanics in the trucks. Now we started working with a beer company called Heineken in Mozambique. I don't drink and I don't like to be involved with alcohol. I'm the one responsible for all trucks to be on the road.

Q: In some restaurants, if a person orders a dish and wishes to share it with someone else at his table (e.g. a husband and wife order a dish and both wish to share it instead of ordering separate dishes), the restaurant will charge the second person a ‘plate sharing fee’. If the second person does not pay this fee, they will not be allowed to share in the dish of the first person. In Islam, is it permissible to charge a plate sharing fee?
Q: Can you work for a shop which shows their clients samples of blinds and thereafter they acquire it for them? I don't think the shop owners understand that it is not permissible for one to sell something which one does not possess.
Q: I would like to know if a restraint of trade agreement is permissible in an Islamic sale.
Example: I am selling my cellphone business to Zaid. In the sale agreement a clause is added that I, the seller, is not allowed to trade in the same field of business for a stipulated period (e.g. 5 years). Will such a clause be permissible? If not will the adding of such a clause nullify the entire sale? Or will the clause be impermissible and the rest of the sale be correct?
