Q: My husband really likes red nail polish on my hands and feet, but I also want to pray properly. I have to remove my nail polish every time I make wudu, which is becoming very difficult. 

I’ve heard about halal/water-permeable nail polish. After making wudu, if I apply it, can I pray with it, or does it still need to be removed before every wudu? Or can I put it on after shower or wudhu and keep it on till next shower? 

Please guide me, as I’m very confused and no one has been able to give me a clear answer. 

Q: Glycerin, glyceryl stearate, stearic acid, biotin collagen, keratin and hydrolysed keratin are ingredients used in cosmetic products that are derived from animals. Some of them can be derived from plants too, but if each ingredient mentioned is derived from animals, can the cosmetic products be used?

Q: I need to use a shampoo to strengthen my hair. There's a shampoo available which contains in it stem cells from human bone marrow. 

Will this be permissible to use?

Q: For beautification purposes, for a man,

1. Is it permissible for him to try to make his eyebrows thicker by stimulating the hair using oils or serums, or by massaging the area to improve circulation? 

2. Is it permissible for him to try to remove skin tags, warts, acne, or abnormal looking moles from the skin by the means of skincare? 

3. Is it permissible for him to try to remove his under eye bags using vitamin serums or other types of serums, and their diet? 

4. Is it permissible for him to try to remove his tan using skincare and diet, or try to get tanned using sun bath?

Q: 

1. Are we allowed to use products made with charcoal example: toothpastes, soaps, cosmetics, etc. 

2. Are we allowed to take it in tablet form as it is recognized for many health benefits?

Q: If cosmetic items and creams contain an ingredient that is derived from the meat of an animal that is haraam (either not slaughtered according to Shariah or from any haraam animal), is this cream impure and will it render the person using it impure (impure in the sense that one cannot read Salaah, Quraan etc.). 

When it comes to the cream, it is only applied to the skin.

Q: In Islam, can a young woman of around 28 years of age, use anti-ageing products, such as serums, creams etc. to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles on her face. Is it permissible?

Q: Is using charcoal toothpaste allowed in Islam?

Q: Is it permissible to use products containing collagen?

Q:

1. Can we apply lip balm containing cetearyl alcohol as there is a chance of swallowing the lip balm when the lips are licked. Is is permissible?

2. Creams and lotions containing alcohols such as benzyl, cetyl are applied to the skin. While eating from hands the taste of the cream can be felt. Is it valid and permissible?
