Q: What is the ruling regarding giving my domestic helper a bonus wage along with her wages at the end of the year?

Q: We are 10 siblings (5 brothers and 5 sisters). Our parents are both living alhamdulillah. One younger brother and two sisters are still unmarried. Our elder two brothers are already living apart and now the situation has arisen that we want to divide the property among all and let the younger brother and sisters get their share so that thy can construct something to live in... Kindly inform us how much share each brother and sister will get and our parents also... The property is worth around 1 crore rs.

Q: My Hindu neighbor sent a Diwali treat in a glass plate. The plate is non returnable. Are we allowed to use the plate?

Q: If parents buy clothes for their children and tell them to use it for dressing purposes and do not make them the owner of the clothes, will it be permissible for the parents to do whatever they like with that clothes without asking the child?

1. Is it permissible to use my child's gift money to buy her something to use such as clothes or a car seat or toys?

2. After using the item, how do I dispose of it?

Q: Is it permissible to take a sweet that a child offers you? E.g. my small brother.

Q: My husbands mother has gold that she gifted to my husbnad and my husbands big brother. She has some more gold which she was given by my husbands father. But my husbands mother gave all her gold to her youngest son and did not give any of her other three sons. She has 4 sons. Is it permissible in Islam?

Q: A man passed away leaving behind a wife and six children. In his lifetime, he contributed monthly towards a retirement fund, and whilst alive, he had written and signed that he had made his wife 100 % benefactor of this fund. In addition, he had a house in which his wife and children live. In his lifetime, he mentioned to his wife that 'this house is for you'. Does this fund and house form part of the inheritance to be distributed?

Q: My husband has issued me with 2 talaaqs. I am currently at my parents house in iddat, as we have not reconciled. My husband is demanding that I return all the gold to him (some were given as mahr and this is documented on the marriage certificate, some was gifted to me by my husband during the duration of our marriage and some he has gifted to my daughter). I have paid zakaah on this gold over the years. Who is the rightful owner of the gold?

Q: I wanted to know about "push present" which is a gift from a husband to his wife for her giving birth of the child. It is usually called "push present" because the wife pushes the baby out. Is a push present allowed in Islam? The wife usually expects a gift from the husband because she has suffered nine months and labour as well. Is it ok for her to seek a gift from her husband?
