Sahaabah

Authentication of a story

Q: I heard a story about a Sahaabiyah named Aslamiya. She was described as a person with medical knowledge learnt from her father and when she asked Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) if it was permissible for her to treat those in need, Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that it was indeed permissible. It was also stated that she trained a number of other women to do the same. I would just like to verify the authenticity of this story.

Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) differentiating between Muslims and non-Muslims

Q: I want to know about Hazrat Umar's (radhiyallahu anhu) pact which is given in Tafseer Ibn Kathir. It is mentioned that he made some conditions for Zimmis that they should not build any worshipping area and they should wear different clothes, etc. I read that some scholars don't think it is accurate. What is your stance?

The Khulafaa-e-Raashideen

Q: I have heard that Hazrat Mu'aawiyah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) is the fifth khalifa. I thought there are only four khalifas viz. Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Uthmaan and Hazrat Ali (Radhiyallahu Anhum). Can you please give me the correct answer and was Hazrat Mu'aawiyah's (Radhiyallahu Anhu) status similar to the status of the four khalifas?

Did Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) divorce his wives because they were unable to conceive?

Q: Did Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) really divorced his two wives for the reason they were unable to conceive. If yes, how can an act of a person who is so respectable in the religion - considering he did have his kids from other wives and there were great Prophets in the history who had wives unable to have children yet they weren't respected, rather they were kept as wives and their statuses were honored forever.
