Q: How does fasting work when travelling by plane. If I have sehri in one place, do I break my fast at my destination according to their maghrib or according to where I left from?
Q: With the money for fitra, can you put it in any charity box or give it to any charity? Is it only for wheat or what? Please explain how to give it to a charity (not giving it yourself, but paying for it in cash to be distributed); I hope I am understood.
Q: Is it permissible for one to split the two fasts of Muharram by fasting on the 9th and 11th without fasting on the 10th?
Q: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said that the dua of a fasting person is answered. It's borne on the clouds and the gates of heaven are opened for it, and Allah (Ta'ala) says "By my glory, I will grant you help even if it may be after sometime". Can I fast with the intention that my dua will be answered, or is that disliked? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Q: Please clarify the following:
1. Is fitrah obligatory on every individual or is it the duty of the head of the household to pay it on Eid-ul-Adha?
2. If the fitrah wasn't paid on time then what is due on the person?
3. How much is fitrah?
Q: Is there any special virtue established for fasting during the month of Muharram?
Q: During Ramadan, my wife and I began to hug and kiss and touch each other’s private areas. This caused me to release some stuff and she also became wet though we did not have intercourse. Does this require a kaffarah or is making up the fast enough? If this requires a kaffarah, what is the kaffarah for this?
Q: I made an intention for sunnah itekaaf in Ramadaan. Unfortunately I was only able to sit seven days due to haiz. (Mufti I had miscalculated my days.) I have sat 1 day in itekaaf as qazaa and my intention for the fast was for a Ramadaan qazaa fast. Is this correct or do I sit for 3 days in itekaaf? Is my fast correct? Mufti was I sinful in miscalculating my days? It grieves me greatly. Please advise.
Q: Respected Mufti saab please could you tell me the amount a person will have to pay if he missed 6 years and 6 months Salaah. As well as 6 years of fasts that were missed. In those six years 3 years fasts were kept but broken intentionally through eating. Please calculate as if 6 years of fasts were missed completely.
