Q: I just recently realised that some of my burkas, when I hold up 1 layer to the light then you can see my hand through the fabric, but with 2 layers like when we wear it then you can't see as much. Some burkas you can see the silhouette of my hand but not the colour, but when I wear the burka I can't really see myself through the burka.
So I just wanted to check if its allowed to read salaah with burkas like this and to wear them outside and stuff?
A: The fabric should not be transparent where the hair or any part of your body can be seen. Therefore, if it is very thin and transparent, then you should avoid wearing this.
