Hajj & Umrah

Q: Can I wear my contact lenses during the 5 days of hajj or even umrah for that matter? I do have weak eyesight but my contacts are coloured.

Q: I want to perform umrah but my husband does not have the time. He said that you have to go with your son. My son is 12 years old and he is baligh as per sharia law but he is not 18. I have doubt on it. Kindly tell me if it is possible to perform umrah with my son?

Q: If a person in the state of ihraam is suffering with dry skin, is it permissible for him to apply cream to his skin?

Q: Is there any basis for meeting family members before leaving for hajj?

Q: Please can you advise me, we intend going for umrah in April. My son who is 9 will be coming with us. The intention is to make him wear ihraam from madinah. Is it fine if he wears underwear?

Q: Are children allowed in the haram for umrah with parents once they are using diapers? Is it ok to bring the child to Ka'ba or tawaaf when there's a possibility that diaper may not be clean?

Q: I am a 31 year old married woman. I want to perform hajj. My husband is not capable at present. I am asking him to arrange money for his hajj expenses only, and I am planning to sell my gold for my hajj expenses. Is it right to rush for the hajj even if we are not capable or should we wait for the time when we have enough. Please advise. 

Q: I performed Umrah with my face covered such that the veil was touching it for a duration less than 12 hours. Mufti sahab replied that I am supposed to give sadaqa. Please clarify:

1- What is the amount of sadaqa that I should give?

2- Should sadaqa be given to someone in Makkah Mukarramah or can I give it to someone in Karachi as I am residing here?

Q: I performed umrah some years back with my face covered such that veil was touching my face. I remained in ihraam for less than a day. Am I supposed to give sadqa or damm? Please explain what's the difference between these two?
