Q:

1. In surah (Al-Kahf: 18) it is spoken about "the dog of the people of the cave" is this referring to all dogs or what does that mean?
2. Do animals go to janah? and I'm referring to dogs in particular?

Q: Is it a sin to kill insects and flies?

Q: Do women need to cover their hair even while sleeping at night? What is the ruling related to covering hair for women?

Q: Please can you tell me if this is permissible. My wife never exposes her hair outside the home. Is it permissible for me to send her to a hair salon to beautify her hair for me? It will not be cut or coloured, only styled. And the salon will be one where there are no men.

Q: I have been practicing Islam for maybe nearly two years and I keep getting into situations that a difficult and hard for me, because I do not know what is the best thing to do at certain times.

1. One thing I am not sure about is if it is cooperating in sin and transgression / disrespectful to Allah / sinful if a Muslim helped a non-Muslim family member tidy up (the non-Muslims) empty beer bottles and also helped the non-Muslim family member by tidying up haram food packaging?
2. What is best for the Muslim to do if the Muslim wants to help the non-Muslim clean plates/tables that had haram food left over’s on them?

The non-Muslim family member has physical health problems and sometimes struggles with cleaning and the Muslim wants to also help the non-Muslim family member realize Islam is the truth.

Q: Is it permissible to use a flytrap which traps the flies inside and the liquid inside then kills them?

Q: Is applying face paint on your face on sports day to identify with your team haraam? I heard a sister in Islam saying that it is haraam.

Q: With regards to pictures of human beings and animals on boxes, plastic containers, dolls etc. Is it sufficient to remove the eyes only?
