Remaining silent for the duration of three Subhaanallahs in Salaah
Q: A person is performing Salaah reading his dhor and he forgets where he is. He thinks for a few seconds and goes back and continues. Does this pause make sajdah sahw necessary?
Would this change depending on the Salaah he was performing e.g. if it were sunnats or taraweeh or fardh etc?

1. If he remained silent for the duration of three Subhaanallahs, Sajda-e-sahw will be wajib.

( و ) اعلم أنه ( إذا شغله ذلك ) الشك فتفكر ( قدر أداء ركن ولم يشتغل حالة الشك بقراءة ولا تسبيح ) ذكره في الذخيرة ( وجب عليه سجود السهو في ) جميع ( صور الشك ) سواء عمل بالتحري أو بنى على الأقل فتح لتأخير الركن (الدر المختار 2/ 93)
( و ) يفسدها ( أداء ركن ) حقيقة اتفاقا ( أو تمكنه ) منه بسنة وهو قدر ثلاث تسبيحات (الدر المختار 2/ 625)
