Being intimate with one's wife while fasting

Q: During Ramadan, my wife and I began to hug and kiss and touch each other’s private areas. This caused me to release some stuff and she also became wet though we did not have intercourse. Does this require a kaffarah or is making up the fast enough? If this requires a kaffarah, what is the kaffarah for this?

A: You both should sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala and make a firm resolve that you both will not repeat this again. If semen had come out through ejaculation, then qadha will have to be made of the broken fast. Kaffara is not waajib in this case.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
