Raising the hands till the thumbs are parallel to the earlobes

Q: What is the ruling with regards to touching the earlobes while saying takbeer-e-tahreema? I was told it is makrooh. Can mufti saheb please indicate as to where this masala can be found?

A: The Fuqaha have written that it is mustahab for one to raise his hands to the point where the thumbs are parallel to the earlobes. If one's thumbs touch the earlobes, this is also permissible. It will not be regarded as makrooh.
