Masturbating while fasting during Ramadhaan

Q: What is the ruling of a person that masturbated while fasting during Ramadhaan. Is it required to keep kadha of that fast?
A: Breaking the fast through masturbation is a serious offence and one should sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala and make a firm resolve that one will not return to this sin in the future. However only Qadha will be Waajib.
(وكذا الاستمناء بالكف) أي في كونه لايفسد لكن هذا إذا لم ينزل أما إذا أنزل فعليه القضاء كما سيصرح به وهو المختار (رد المحتار على الدر المختار 2/ 399)
الصائم إذا عالج ذكره حتى أمنى فعليه القضاء وهو المختار وبه قال عامة المشايخ (الفتاوى الهندية 1/ 205)
