Denim shoes and clothing

Q: Is it permissible to make children wear the following:
1. Denim shoes/ sandals
2. Denim dresses
What does one do with jeans that one has stopped wearing? Can it be given away?
A:
1. As long as it is not according to the design and styles of kuffar fashion.
2. As above.
You may use it as a kitchen rag.
