Explanation of Surah Baqarah, verse 7

Q: What do you say about the Quranic verse 7 Surah Baqarah in which Allah Ta'ala says about the seal on hearts and eyes?

A: These verses are in relation to the kuffaar. Despite them seeing the path of hidaayat, they continue on the path of kufr and wrong. Therefore, Allah Ta'ala places a seal on their hearts that they no longer get affected by the truth when it is presented before them. So the reality of the matter is this that through their evil actions they have destroyed their capacity for accepting the truth of Islam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
