Forgetting to make sajdah-e-tilaawah in salaah
Q: If a person misses sajdah-e-tilaawah while performing salaah e.g. he was reciting a surah which had a verse of sajdah, but he did not remember to perform the sajdah, is he required to repeat the salaah?
A: The salaah will not have to be repeated. However, he should make istighfaar for forgetting to make the sajdah-e-tilaawah during the salaah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
( ولو تلاها في الصلاة سجدها فيها لا خارجها ) لما مر وفي البدائع وإذا لم يسجد أثم فتلزمه التوبة
قال ابن العابدين -رحمه الله تعالى -: قوله ( وإذا لم يسجد أثم الخ ) أفاد أنه لا يقضيها قال في شرح المنية وكل سجدة وجبت في الصلاة ولم تؤد فيها سقطت أي لم يبق السجود لها مشروعا لفوات محله (رد المحتار 2/110)
وكل سجدة وجبت في الصلاة فلم يسجدها فيها لم تقض خارج الصلاة لأنها صلاتية ولها مزية الصلاة فلا تتأدى بالناقص (الهداية 1/79)
