Being concerned of one's Deen and the Deen of those who one has influence over

Q: I dreamt last night that I had brought, I think it was a stray cat home and I had one cat and a kitten at home already. (In reality I do have two cats). This stray was much bigger and I remember it looking darkish and a bit unsettling when I think back. My kitten was in my room on my bed and I placed the stray in the same room. I walked in and out of the room and the last time that I walked out i looked on the floor and I saw blood just outside my door. I got a shock and I quickly went to check on my kitten and I found that the stomach was ripped and she was bleeding and this was done by the stray. I picked up the kitten and I was going to look for my mum, I opened the door of another room in the house and lying on the bed was my sister with a man (in my dream that was her husband but in reality he is not). On the same bed the man that I was interested in was lying down as well but he was naked. He had only a shirt on that was unbutton and left open. I got upset and I told him to put some clothes on. I then went and was calling for my mother to take the kitten to the vet. Please can you interpret my dream for me.

A: In these times of fithna where sin is prevalent everywhere, it is vital for one to be concerned of one's Deen and the Deen of those who one has influence over. You should ensure that the places you frequent and people you associate with are conducive to your Imaani values and principles. You should avoid going to places where the laws of Shari'ah are violated and people are not Deeni conscious. Be punctual on Salaah and observe strict purda with all non-mahrams. Endeavour to adopt the Sunnah in all facets of life and avoid all avenues of sin (e.g. internet, TV, cellphone, wrong company, literature, etc).

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
