Wife's parents insulting husband's parents

Q:
1. Due to some matter, a wife's mother and father insults the husband's mother and his family. What should a husband do in such case?
2. What if the husband's mother ask him to leave his wife? Does the son have to obey his mother?
3. What should a son do if someone insults his mother?
A:
1. He should make them maaf and not pay attention to their wrong talks.
2. If it is a for valid reason then he should oblige.
3. As above.
