Organizing a Quraan khatam on WhatsApp

Q: Recently a member of my family created a group called Quraan daily. In the group, a person would take a parah and read it. By doing this we would finish a khatm. Not as in a valid khatm but a Quraan finished by everyone that participated. I want to know if this is allowed in the Quraan or sunnah or if it goes against the shariah?

A: These new practices are not encouraged. Individually recite the Qur'aan and do as much as you can in your time and convenience.
