Washing the nails in wudhu
Q: I have a problem that disturbs my ibaadat, personal life and family life. This problem is concerning wudhu. In my fingernails, some of the upper nail layer are peeling because I have peeling my nail bed. Must water enter under these peels. I have harmed my nail a lot. Must water reach only the surface of the nail or under (and not the cracks) because my nail (nailbed) is cracked because I harmed it.
A: To the extent that you can pass the water over you should pass it over.

لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها (سورة البقرة: 286)
(قوله: وشرط صحة إلخ) الصحة ترتب المقصود من الفعل عليه ففي المعاملات الحل والملك لأنهما المقصودان منها وفي العبادات عند المتكلمين موافقة الأمر مستجمعا ما يتوقف عليه وعند الفقهاء بزيادة قيد وهو اندفاع وجوب القضاء فصلاة ظان الطهارة مع عدمها صحيحة على الأول لموافقة الأمر على ظنه لا على الثاني لعدم سقوط القضاء وتمامه في التحرير وشرحه (قوله: عموم البشره إلخ) أي أن يعم الماء جميع المحل الواجب استعماله فيه (رد المحتار 1/87)
