Property distribution

Q: Property worth Rs 3150000/- INR has been sold by my dad. And now wants to distribute same among the family. Family includes Father, 1 Son and 2 daughters. Property to be distributed among 4 members. Please advise how much amount will be alloted to each one as per sharia law.

A: If this is the case of an estate then the estate will be divided into 24 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Father will receive 4 shares - 525000

Son will receive 10 shares - 1312500

Each daughter will receive 5 shares - 656250

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
