Preferable method of sleeping

Q:

1. What is the ruling of face or head direction while sleeping?

2. Can we sleep facing east direction, head towards south and leg towards north. Our back is towards west(qibla), (we can sleep in this way only because of room size constraints).

A:

1. The preferable method of sleeping is that one should sleep on the right side placing the right hand under the right cheek while facing the qiblah.

2. It is permissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
