Blowing on oneself after reciting the three Quls

Q: When reading the three Quls (Surah Al Ikhlaas, Surah An Naas and Surah Al Falaq) for protection from Nazr, what is the ruling on reading and then blowing on oneself, or blowing into the hands and passing the hands over the whole body? Is this allowed/necessary?
A: It is not necessary, but it is established in the sunnah. It is mentioned in the Hadith that before retiring to bed, Rasoolulallah salalahu alaihi wasalam would recite the three quls, blow onto his mubaarak hands and thereafter rub them onto his mubaarak body.
