Q: What is a hadith and how many types of hadith are there?

Also, what is zaeef hadith?

A: Hadeeth generally refer to the teaching of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). The way the hadeeth was transmitted will be the different ways that the hadeeth will be classified. For example, there were hundreds of people transmitting the hadeeth continuously in every period of time from one generation to another generation until it finally reached us and if this transmission (chain) was not very sound then this is called a dhaeef hadeeth.
