Parents forcing the son to divorce his wife

Q: I was married to a girl. After a few months my parents told me that she can't continue living in our house and I should not take her name any more and divorce her. I tried my best to make my parents understand but no it was of no use. Should I listen to my parents and divorce her or keep her in a seperate room outside?

A: If her character and her ways are all good and there is no weakness in her character and deen, and they wish you to divorce her on account of her behaviour or the goodness of her deen then don't listen to them.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
