Men wearing gold-plated watches

Q: Is it permissible for men to wear a watch that has a case and dial made of stainless steel, however it's hands and hour markers are gold plated? Does it make a difference if another watch has hands and hour markers that are rose gold plated?

A:

1. A male should refrain from wearing this type of watch.

2. If it is for women, then it is permissible.
