Hadith about 5 favours of Salaah

Q: What is the status of the hadith about the 5 favours of Salaah, which is normally quoted by the jamaat brothers. Recently a friend of mine told me that, that particular hadith is weak.
A: The right thing for people like us is not to discuss things that are above our understanding. The dhaeef hadeeth is a technical thing and there are certain laws that are attached. You will not understand the technical definition nor do you have the full understanding of the laws pertaining to saheeh and dhaeef ahaadeeth. So the right thing for us is that we follow someone who is an expert in this field. If the experts feel that this can be quoted and practised then we will go accordingly.
