Doubting whether one's wudhu broke during salaah

Q: I wasn’t sure if I had passed gas during salah, so as the hadith mentioned (not to stop prayer until a sound is heard or smell is detected) I stopped recitation for a moment and tried to detect a smell. I didnt smell anything and I resumed. Was this ok of me to do?

A: The meaning of the Hadith is that if you are not certain that you had passed wind, then regard your wudu to be intact . Hence, if you are not certain of passing wind, then you salaah is valid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
