Dream

Q: I had a dream that I need interpreted. I am 27 Years old, and about two months ago I went to see a girl (for marriage). I saw her and everything but I thought she was too young and pretty for me so I thought that there was no use proposing because they will reject the proposal. I didn't have a problem with the girl or the family but I thought they would say no. But I did read istikhara namaaz for 3 days, but I didn't really do it with full conviction, I though I was wasting my time. My father liked the family and he was putting pressure on me to propose (I didn't have a problem proposing, its just that I felt I was wasting my time because they will say no). Anyway I told my father to put the proposal thinking they would say no, but they did say yes. Then I was getting a bit worried because I didn't read the istikhara properly and that she might not be the right one for me so I read istikhara again.

This time I saw a dream:

I was standing at a shop that belongs to somebody I know and it was late afternoon, and this person I know seemed to be going mad. Then it was the next morning and I was going back to this persons shop and people were saying that this person is was gone mad. Then I saw him and asked him what happened. He told me that he was listening to Qari Haneef Multanis lecture, and he was very scared by it and that it is as if he is gone mad. So what I understood from what he said is that he either misunderstood what Qari Haneef said or that what Qari Haneef said in the Lecture was very scary and he is extremely scared and that because of fear he seems to be gone mad. So I asked somebody
for Qari Haneefs phone number and I phoned Qari Haneef and explained to him what happened and I gave the phone to this guy to speak to Qari Haneef. Qari Haneef started speaking to him and the first thing he asked him was, or at least I think it was about how were the wedding preparations going.

Then while this person was talking to Qari haneef, in the same shop the was a male money jumping up and down and I think it was throwing stuff up and down and it scared me a little. Then there was another female monkey on my back and I think they were married(the monkeys). Then the male monkey had a human baby in its hands and it was swinging it round and round and then it threw the baby. I went to catch the baby and as I was going to catch it there was something on my left foot, so I moved my right foot to go and remove it from my left foot, and I did that in real life in my bed as I woke up. It was 4 am in the morning.

The dream really scared me, and I didnt have somebody immediately to interpret the dream, so I plucked up the courage and asked her (my fiancee) if she had a dream when she read istikhara. She said she didn't have a dream when she read istikhara but she had a feeling that she is 100% sure that I am the right one for her and that there is absolutely no doubt in her mind.

So I am a bit confused and I would appreciate it if you could give me the interpretation of the dream.

Also on a side note, I know it is wrong, but I am speaking to her. I have a beard and wear kurta and she is in niqaab and I normally dont talk to girls, but after we proposed, she wanted to clarify a few things with me so I spoke to her but now it seems that we ended up chatting and I am feeling very hard to tell her to stop talking to me, since I feel it might strain the whole relationship.

A: There is no need to worry, the dream is positive. Speaking and being in contact with the girl one wishes to marry before nikaah is impermissible. You should make tawbah and sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala for this sin.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: With regard to my previous question, I am really confused. I just wanted to know how the dreams and their interpretations works, just to give my heart some peace, because the engagement broke, there were some problems, and the girls side very irrationally and quickly broke the engagement without discussing the problems with us?

A: Sometimes a dream contain two indications; one positive and one negative. The one conversant in the science of interpretation of dreams chooses the interpretation and the sign that is favourable. However at times the opposite occurs. The knowledge of the unseen lies only with Allah Ta'ala.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
