Feeling remorse and regret over one's sins

Q: A married man has done a mistake by having intercourse with another girl one time. He is feeling very ashamed of himself after that and is making taubah to Allah all the time. Will he be forgiven by Allah and what should he do to feel at ease?

A: There is no need to feel depressed. When a believer repents with sincerity and remorse for the wrongs that he has committed and he resolves never to commit them again then Allah Ta`ala has announced that He will definitely forgive such a person, no matter how serious that sin is.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
