Taubah for committing zina
Q: I’m a Muslim but I’ve committed zina and I’m ashamed of myself and want to kill myself right now. I’ve ruined my dunya and aakhirah. Will Allah forgive me??? I never ever want to do it again. How should I protect myself from this?
A: Allah Ta’ala will definitely forgive you. Never ever think of commiting suicide as this crime is far worse than committing zina. It is reported in the mubaarak Hadith that the person who commits suicide will continue to be punished and he will go on experiencing the pain of taking his life again and again until Allah Ta'ala does not forgive him.
Sincerely repent to Allah Ta’ala for the sin you have committed and make a firm resolve that you will not repeat this sin in the future. Immediately move away from the person you had committed the sin with and refrain from all areas, people and devices that will invite you or tempt you to fall into sin.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
