Birth spacing

Q: Is it allowed to wait a while between child birth and the next pregnancy? If yes, then how much time is allowed between two pregnancies?

A: There is no specified period for this. This is left to the condition and ease of the spouses. If they wish that the wife conceives after the delivery of the previous child, and the wife can manage, then this is permissible, and if they wish to wait for a while before having the next child, so that they can give attention to each child before having the next child or for the wife to recuperate from the last pregnancy, then this is also permissible.
