Distribution of land

Q: My father left an agricultural land of 64 acres. We are 4 brothers, 8 sisters and a mother. How much acres will each brother and sister get and what is the share of the mother in acres?

A: Your late father's estate will be divided into 128 equal shares and distributed as follows:
Wife will receive 16 shares (8 acres)
Each son will receive 14 shares (7 acres)
Each daughter will receive 7 shares (3.5 acres)
