Woman accepting gifts from a non-mahram man

Q: My relative gets money as a gift from a guy. She says that he gives it to her just because he has no sister and he wants her to be his sister. Allah knows the truth. She treats us with that money. Is it permissible for me to accept it even if most of her money is haraam?

A: It is not safe to take the money or any type of help from a person who you can marry. Even though his intentions may not be bad, but on account of the abundance of fitnah and corruption you can become a victim of suspicion.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
