Businessman receiving a gift from a client

Q: We are a few partners working in a business and each of us look after a few clients. At the end of the year, one of the clients I deal with gives me a gift (as is commonly done in the business environment as I deal with him alot during the year). I would like to know if the gift belongs to me or the business?

A: If he gave it to you specifically then you may take it as long as it does not affect the interest of the business, such as you then offering him a discounted price because of his gift.
